Bruno Santos

I'm a fourth year PhD Student at University of São Paulo, in the Institute of Mathematics and Statistics, department of Statistics. My thesis supervisor is Professor Heleno Bolfarine. As part of my PhD, I visited the Department of Statistical Sciences at Duke University, between August of 2013 and July of 2014, working with Professor Surya Tokdar. Previously, I completed my Master's degree with the supervision of Professor Silvia Elian. For my doctorate thesis, I'm interested in Bayesian quantile regression models and possible extensions.

Besides quantile regression models, which was also theme of my master's dissertation, I'm also interested in:

  • model selection;
  • Bayesian inference;
  • data visualization.
